Our story

Why Debra built a different kind of law firm.

Debra Spatz never liked the billable hours model. When every phone call and email gets billed, clients stop asking questions. When clients stop asking questions, their attorney can’t guide them well.

So she founded Spatz Law Group to work differently. You can ask what you need to ask, by phone or email, whenever questions come up. Our focus is on educating you, so the decisions you make fit your family’s actual needs and goals.

Our relationship doesn’t end when your documents are signed. That’s when it begins. As your life changes, we help keep your plan current so it still works when your family needs it.

The Legacy Interview

Estate planning is more about your life than your death. Your plan can also pass on your values, beliefs, stories and experiences.

Through our Legacy Interview, you can leave your family your memories and the lessons you’ve learned, along with your assets.

The process

How working with us works.

  1. 01

    Get organized

Before we meet, you complete an Estate Planning Questionnaire. It helps you get clear on what you own and leaves your accounts more organized than they’ve probably ever been.

  2. 02

    Learn your options

In your Estate Planning Session, the only goal is to give you information. You’ll learn what would happen to your family today and what your choices are.

  3. 03

    Design your plan

If you decide to work with us, we build a plan around your family, your concerns and your goals.

  4. 04

    Keep it current

Kids grow up, assets change, and laws change. We stay with you so your plan keeps up.

The people behind your plan
